A versatile processing solution for flexible substrates
The continued growth of packaging—especially the increased popularity of flexible packaging—has driven the demand for a diverse range of plastics, films, and foils (PFFs). Newly developed PFFs used in a wide range of products from building construction to film stock for movies to protective medical barriers have only increased this demand.
Laser systems are often used in PFF processing equipment due to their application versatility, low operating costs, and non-contact processing ability. They are capable of cutting, drilling, perforating, scoring and marking flexible and rigid plastics, multi-layer and single layer films and foils, and many other materials. Any of these processes could be combined into a single process step, completed on-the-fly for exceptional customization and throughput.
