Metrology/Inspection: Laser Projection

Precise, high-quality imaging that projects directly onto the working materials requires stable projection without flicker

About Metrology/Inspection: Laser Projection

For optical guidance systems Novanta offers a series of closed loop, galvanometer scanners for high-performance laser beam steering and laser control software through its Cambridge Technology brand. Delivering precise, high-quality imaging that projects directly onto the working materials requires stable projection without flicker, achieved through repetition rates that exceed 50 Hz. Synchronization of the laser and galvanometer scanner enables precise laser beam positioning to support manufacturing builds, ply orientation, masking, and part/component/fixture placement by eliminating manual measurements.

As a leader in beam steering technology, Novanta offers unique, proprietary features in its Cambridge Technology products, including:

  • Proprietary moving magnet actuator technology with a position detector for unmatched stability
  • Fast scanning speeds up to 2 kHz with low drift
  • Wide range (3 – 20 mm) of available mirror sizes
  • Compact form factors available for high-speed scanning in tight spaces
  • Supporting software with user interface available
  • Versatile system connectivity for easy integration and system start-up
