Laser systems use graphical marking to create images ranging from simple shapes to logos to full grey-scale images on a wide range of materials and products. Laser systems offer a particular advantage over traditional systems because their non-contact marking method can create detailed graphic marks on delicate materials as well as curved or uneven surfaces. Laser marking can be applied as raster marks delivering the laser beam row by row like a printer, or as a vector mark delivering the mark in a series of lines that follow the path of the graphic.
