Read the recently published microscopy article published in Wiley Online, PhotonicsViews. The article focuses on localization microscopy, and how high–power continuous wave lasers can be used in super-resolution microscopy. Super-resolution microscopy overcomes the Abbe diffraction barrier allowing resolution greater than 200-300 nm. The article details the principles of single-molecule localization microscopy (SMLM), and how it enables improved resolution by mapping individual photon locations.
